Shabon Dama (Where I belong) is a movie directed by Shinji Higashi, based on the novel Shabon Dama (The Soap Bubble) by Nonami Asa. The movie follows the story of Izumi, abandoned by his parents, which resorted to commit burglary, targeting women and the elderly. While being on the run after a failed robbery nearly killed him, he arrives in the mountains of Miyazaki Prefecture where he helps an injured elderly woman, Suma. Izumi then stays at Suma’s home, and the people in the village consider Izumi as Suma’s grandson, taking good care of him. A change takes place in Izumi.
