Japan Impact will take place at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), on February 17 and 18 next from 10am to 8:30pm (Saturday) and 6pm (Sunday). Here you will learn how to get to the convention entrance with the various means at your disposal.
Public Transport
The best way to reach the convention without problems is without a doubt with public transport. In order to reduce our ecological footprint and to facilitate travel to the event, we have agreed a partnership with Mobilis. Thanks to this partnership, a day pass "Grand Lausanne" (Zone 11+12) is included directly in the pre-sale tickets! Find out more about the Mobilis zones by clicking on this link.
How does it work ?
When booking your presale on our website, please fill in your personal information (name, first name, age). We will then generate the Mobilis Day Card for you and add it directly to your admission ticket. Make sure you always have a valid ticket with you when you travel, so that you can submit your ticket during a ticket check. During ticket checks, you may be asked to prove your identity, so we recommend that you take a piece of identification with you.
Warning, this benefit will only be available with presale tickets and will not be included on tickets purchased on site the weekend of the convention. The day pass is only valid for the day corresponding to the date indicated on the ticket!
- Metro: The M1 will drop you off right in front of the convention entrance. You can get off at the EPFL stop. Get off at the underpass and get back on the other side. Bravo ! You have arrived.
- Bus 701 from Morges: Get off at the stop : Parc scientifique, then use the passage under the road to cross it and arrive in the Parc Scientifique of the EPFL. From there, a 15 minutes walk will lead you to the entrance of the convention. Do not hesitate to consult the google map, linked at the beginning of this paragraph, it shows you the way to go.
Car
If you choose to drive, be aware that the number of spaces is not expandable. You may have to go far to find one. Here is a map of the different parking lots near the convention: Parking Rolex, Innovation Park Parking, Parking BCH. Good thing for your wallet: All parking lots (except BCH and UNIL) are free on weekends =)
From these parking lots, walk to the convention:
- Innovation Park parking: It takes about 10 minutes to get to the entrance of Japan Impact.
- Parking Rolex: From the underground parking, go up to the light and then head north up Avenue Piccard to the Route de Sorge (the main road that will block your way). Then turn left and go to the entrance of the convention.
- Parking BCH: It is the smallest, but also the most hidden. Hopefully, there will be some seats left for you. It takes a good 15 minutes to walk north to the Sorge Road, then turn left to the entrance of Japan Impact.Warning: This is a paid parking
Access for people with reduced mobility
The convention is accessible to people with reduced mobility in several ways, including public transportation and by car. Additional parking is available: Parking Rivier is available to facilitate the arrival of people with reduced mobility.
To get to the event from the metro, please follow the blue path indicated on this map. You will have to go down the ramps accessible from the two subway exit lanes, pass under the tunnel (traitillated), and then take the elevator to the left to exit at level 1.
If you arrive from the Rivier parking, follow the blue path on this map and take the elevator to level 1.
