Also this year, Japan Impact is setting up in collaboration with Autisme Genève ✨a calm and quiet room✨ dedicated to people who are neuro-divergent, anxious, or simply overwhelmed by the noisy atmosphere of a convention and want a quiet place to recharge their batteries.

There are a few rules to ensure that everyone can enjoy the experience:
• Although silence is golden in this room, there may be a few whispers between visitors and the volunteers present. However, this is not a place for chatting with your friends.
• We ask you not to eat in this room. It creates an uncomfortable noise for many people with sensitive hearing.
• Music is permitted, as long as it’s through headphones and can’t be heard around you.

Plunge into the heart of Japanese folklore with a trail full of enigmas and mysteries! Our explanatory posters featuring images and a QR-code leading to a video will guide you on your quest. While budding explorers collect the corresponding stamps on their coloring cards, the more perceptive will try to solve the riddles posed, by answering on their game cards.

To begin your adventure, head to the Rallye stand in the Violette zone, where you can pick up your adventurous equipment: game card, stamp sheet and textile label to ensure your children’s safety. Our team will be on hand to answer all your questions, provide you with everything you need and assist you if necessary.

Once you’ve completed your quest, bring your completed question card back to the Rallye stand for your chance at the prize draw. Feel like listening to some nice Japanese percussion? That’s what ReMi Taïko is offering again during our next edition of Japan Impact with, as you may have guessed, a taiko concert! 🥁

This typically Japanese percussion instrument is used for matsuri, traditional festivals where the inhabitants of a neighborhood or village gather to celebrate together the various important moments of the year. The practice of taiko is comparable to a martial art in terms of the bodywork required to produce an excellent sound with it.

So, if you’d like to attend a taiko concert by a group that’s been practicing it for 15 years, come and see them on Saturday February 17 at 2.30pm in the Matsuri room!
